I certainly think that as a result of the current economic downturn, all shoppers are more aware of what they are purchasing. Luckily, I have fabulously loyal customers, who even in tough times will always reserve a little extra funding for DRD. However, I have noticed that more than ever, consumers want to know exactly what it is they are buying. They’re much more interested in learning about quality, make, etc. I actually think this is a great side-effect of what is happening in our economy, because the consumer should be educated. They should know that quality is important in diamond jewelry and that what they are buying has value.
